    I gather up the courage to speak


    I shake as the words leave my mouth


    Words sent through the phone


    My heart races as i wait


    Then your reply comes


    I tell you that you're the one


    You tell me that you're not


    I tell you that i like you


    You tell me that you don't


    You say that i'm too wishy washy


    I say i can change


    You say that it doesn't matter because there's no feeling


    You say that you just want to be friends


    I say i understand


    You say thanks


    A tear runs down my eye as i put down the phone


    I walk home silently


    And know the pain that ripped apart my heart


    Fragile and quiet


    I sit alone


    Waiting for no one


    Watching nothing


    Just existing till my time is up.
