So, I'm Back! Safe and sound, body and all. So guys, what happened while I was gone? For one thing, Maple introduced a new world. Casseiopeia. And so yesterday at 4pm I was one of the hundreds who started new characters there. ARGHH. Too many people! So I left the place at level 8. Back to Batam: So on Friday morning, I met with Joyce and we had breakfast with Amabel and Jared. Penkong and Ming Hui ate and left for church first. We ended up eating yong tau fu. Compared to the 90 cent a piece yong tau fu at the esplanade, this was really cheap. $3 for 7 pieces PLUS noodles. Cool huh? I looked over at joyce's bowl. The lady had added sweet sauce to hers so that it had turned all red. Mine was the same colour too. Only one problem- the sauce was CHILI! So i was really hot trying to eat the yong tau fu finish. Wah, I was damm full after that meal so i just bought fruits for lunch. Then went to buy chicken rice for Ser Geol. We were supposed to be in church by 10.30am. So i reached there at 10.25am. Phew, just on time. Then suddenly nick comes up to me and tells me that he left his lunch at home! My mouth acted before my brain did and i suggested he go and buy chicken rice from across the street. So i ran with him all the way to the coffee shop to get his chicken rice. Then we RAN back to the bus. Managed to catch it just before it left. We arrived at tanah merah ferry early so we hung around the departure hall. Wooh! Were those thing sold at the shops there expensive. So we got our passports chopped and went aboard the ferry. It was a very small one so most of the youth took the upper open-air deck. We didn't know that it was the smoking deck and soon the whole area was filled with smoke. Bad for the children but what could we do other that pass sarcastic remarks about how smoking causes lung cancer. About that time we noticed something else. An indian guy named Anand started to follow Amabel everywhere she went. When she was on the smoking deck, he went to stand RIGHT behind her. When she went downstairs, he FOLLOWED! She was so creeped out by this and kept telling everyone about it. He was to follow her around till the second day. So anyway, the boat was small and cramp and humid. And everyone was suffering sea-sickness. Including me. So we just slept and waited for the boat to reach Batam. We finally arrived the same time we left Singapore because batam time is one hour behind Singapore time. Cool huh? Anyway, the bus ride was very short and we soon arrived at turi beach resort. Wah, so steep and so many steps. But the place looked like paradise. After the breifing, we went to our rooms. I was sadly bunked with my brother. When we reached the room, WOAH! It was so big! We each slept in a queen sized bed! My brother immediately changed and the both of us went down to the pool., Let me tell you about the location of our room. It was at the TOP of the resort. It was VERY tiring to walk to and fro from our meeting place and the room. The pool was even futher down. So I either stayed away from the room or stayed in the room, choosing to travel between them occasionally. Anyway, when we reached the pool, alot of people were already there so my brother jumped in. I was so tempted by them that I went back to change. What a hike! Met Ser Geol and Nick on the way up so they came into the room to wait while i changed. In the end, it was me who waited for then to finish watching the t.v. program. Anyway, when we reached the pool, only I jumped in. The other two went with joyce and tricia to walk with uncle abraham out to the jetty. They had renovated the place since the last time we came two years ago. Some bangla took a picture of me sleeping in the pool and i looked horrible. What's worse is that they showed it to everyone that night at our meetings. Argh!!! Doug Martin was a really good speaker and i was laughing a lot during the sermon. We formed groups and had lots of fun coming out with a name. In the end, due to our colour, we were called Maroon Eleven. --__--" And the cheer was equally dumb but funny. After the meetings, i had to stay back to practise for tomorrows special music. After practise, it was around 10,30pm batam time. Which means that it was around 11.30pm in singapore. Everyone's room was on the left and i had to walk back alone to my hunt atop the hill. The wind was blowing REALLY strongly and it was hard to walk back. I could have sworn that the shadows were creeping up on me and that freaked me out. I was singing at the top of my voice and running up the hill. Ringing the bell furiously, i sensed something sinister behind me. My brother opened the door and i rushed in. Locked the door, closed the outer panel of the balcony and went to sleep. Was supposed to wake up at 6.15am batam time on saturday morning but i woke up at 7.30am. Just nice for breakfast. After an "ok" breakfast, went in for the second session. Was good. Then we had a short break. At the begining of the third session, we had the special music. I sang the bass part. And it was really loow. Then we went for lunch. And then a short break. I went out to the jetty with wei siang, tricia and tiffany. Tricia lost all the contents of her lanyard to the ocean and it was really funny. She was also really scared that the bridge would collapse because of me. So i helped by jumping about. Yay me! Then we went back for another session and then proceeded to dinner. After dinner, there were some games and while these were going on, i was sitting down all alone at my table sipping on hot milo with a SUPER long straw. The youth had all left the dinner area and, unknown to me, went down to the bar. So i also went down and joined them. Played darts and chess. Then when everyone went swimming, i played chess with uncle horace. Later went to the pool and i was almost thrown into the pool. But of course, I'm one of the strongest persons in the church so i fought them off. Then I sat by the pool for a few hours getting bitten by mosquitoes. Then i went back to wait for my parents. They went down to Batam center. I didn't want to go because none of the youth wanted to go. In the end, nick and wei siang went. WTH!!!! I wanted to go but oh well, never mind. SO i went back to my room with wei siang. Was supposed to go over to joyce's room to play cards but i called their room and someone said that everyone was asleep. I'm Leaving for Batam in a few Minutes so this is my last post for the week. I'm going on a holiday outside Singapore Finally! Meeting Joyce and some others for breakfast first. Then i'll be in church at 10.30am to catch the bus to tanah merah ferry terminal. Then its off to Batam on a Jet Boat!
Well guys, lets just say that if anything happens to me, this might be my last ever post. CHOY!!!! Why am I talking like this??? I'm so SUAY that if i say sure kena one. Oops.....too late. Sorry for not posting for so long. You know me, always lazy. But then again, i have been working so it has been hard to find the time to blog. So here's the update. Monday i woke up at 9am, dilly-dallied an left for work at 2pm. Oops...late again. Anyway, reached the office at around 3pm and had lunch with Aarthi. We discussed about what segments our new re-launched kids connection program was going to have. By the way, Kids Connection will be relaunching! That's right kids! Ont he 12th of december 2005, Kids connection on Hope 107fm will have a whole new line-up catering to kids between ages 7-17. So don't miss out on the fun. Mondays to Fridays, 4 to 5pm on Hope 107fm. Don't be square. Be a listener! Hor hor hor. Anyway, on tuesday, i was supposed to go into the studio but i begame SOO lazy that i just stayed at home the whole day. You can just call me the lazy but smart guy(ya right). So i stayed home and watched MTV and HBO the whole day. Yesterday, i woke up at 7am specially to play maple. I leveled up to level 36(finally) and by accident, I GOT A PENLID!!! The most luckiest thing of the week so far! Defense 10 somemore. Hehehe, wait till i show it off! Anyway, went into the office at 2pm. Aarthi was there with ****(who i found out was the ADOPTED daughter of a certain black sheep pastor who made my entire family leave the seventh-day adventist church)(her name is blanked out for security reasons). Mr tan, out blind listener came to the studio yesterday so we had to cater to him. It was aarthi's idea to put up a FAKE show for him. So we DID! He even played the harmonica for us. Now, listening to a ver shrill harmonica in a very small studio is not the best thing in the world. Let me just tell you that once is more than enough. So i didn't manage to finish any programs yesterday. I planned to wake up at 7am today so that i would reach the office by 9am. I even slept at 11pm( which is like three hours earlier than normal). But you know WHAT? I WOKE UP AT 10.30AM!!!!! OMG!!! I slept so long. I guess i didn't realise how tired i was until i slept for like eleven and a half hours. Whoa! So i walked into the studio at about 1.30pm. I need to finish FIVE programs by today. Can't do it tomorrow cause I'm going for CHURCH CAMP!!! YAY!!! It's kinda sad that i have to wait one whole year for church camp. We're going to BATAM! lol. I know what you guys are thinking. "Hmm...batam. Must be low class". But NO! We are going to Turi Beach Resort! It's a five star resort and its really good. I've been there before so i know that i'm gonna enjoy it. Oh well, i still have four more programs to go.
